West Park

Western Park is the second largest park in Sofia, covering 2.16 sq. km. It is located between the neighborhoods of Western Park (formerly "Hristo Mihaylov"), Lyulin, Fakulteta, Krasna Polyana Sugar Factory and Gevgeliyski. It falls within the metropolitan districts of "Ilinden" and "Krasna Polyana". The Suhodolska River flows through the park and the railway line to Southwestern Bulgaria and Greece passes. The metro station located under "Tsaritsa Ioanna" Boulevard is also named after the park. The park has many entrances, but the main entrance is from "Slivnitsa" Boulevard. Western Park is partially illuminated and has a renovated infrastructure after a three-year renovation, 2018 - 2021.
