Visit
The Bukovo Monastery “St. Mary Magdalene” is located near the town of Buhovo, close to Sofia. It was founded in the 13th century during the Second Bulgarian Empire. The monastery was destroyed several times during the Ottoman period and restored in the 20th century. Today it is an active convent within the Sofia Holy Metropolis, known for its peaceful surroundings and spiritual significance.
