The "Khan Asparuh" equestrian base is intended for the preparation of the national equestrian teams and training of new riders. Competitions from the republican and international calendars of the Bulgarian Equestrian Federation and the Bulgarian Fencing Federation are held here. The "Khan Asparuh" National equestrian base meets the requirements of the international federation for training and competitions and has an area of 95 acres. The covered arena in the base is the largest on the Balkan Peninsula.The "Khan Asparuh" equestrian base has its own forge, hay, straw and oats warehouses, a carpentry workshop, ammunition stores and a restaurant.
