Lozenski Monastery “St. Spas” is located in the Lozen Mountain near the village of Lozen, close to Sofia. It was founded in the 13th century during the Second Bulgarian Empire. Destroyed and rebuilt several times during the Ottoman period, it is now an active convent. The feast day is Ascension Day. The monastery is part of the Sofia Holy Mountain.
