Visit
The Seslav Monastery of St. Nicholas is located near the village of Seslavtsi, close to Sofia. Founded in the 13th century during the Second Bulgarian Empire, it was an important spiritual center. Tradition links it to sebastokrator Kaloyan. During Ottoman rule it declined; today ruins, fresco fragments, and medieval burials remain. Archaeological excavations have uncovered pottery and graves on site.
