On Vitosha mountain there are no naturally formed glacial lakes, like Rila and Pirin, this lack is compensated by artificially created ones - Simeonovo lakes.
There are four of them, located on the left bank of Stara reka, at 900 meters above sea level.
The eco-trail starts at Simeonovo lakes, passes through Buda area, there are many signs, with thoughts of Peter Dunov, continuing to Aeko and Cherni vruh.
